Dwight is originally from Saint John, New Brunswick. After high school, he pursued further education at St. Mary’s University by obtaining an undergraduate Degree in Business with a major in Economics. From there, he was off to Greeley, Colorado to attend the University of Northern Colorado to obtain a Master’s Degree in Audiology. Upon completion of his degree in 1978, he returned to Saint John to start work at the Saint John General Hospital, first as a clinical audiologist and finishing 23 years later as Regional Manager of Audiology Services for the Atlantic Health Sciences Centre. Leaving the public sector, Dwight moved on to spend time working in the corporate hearing aid field with Siemens Hearing Instruments as their Atlantic Canada Regional Manager. Four years later, he ventured into the private practice world by setting up his own hearing care practices. After 7 years in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, Dwight moved to Newfoundland to marry his wife Leona and work with the Maico Hearing Service team. Dwight has 40 years of clinical audiology and hearing aid experience that positions him well to deliver quality hearing health care to his patients and he certainly knows the value of the exceptional patient care and service that is delivered daily by all members of the Maico team!
