Bev first learned about audiology as a teenager during an appointment with an Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Specialist. In 1988, Bev graduated as an audiologist with a Master’s of Science (Applied) degree from McGill University. After graduation, Bev returned to her hometown of Gander to work at the James Paton Memorial Hospital where she was the only audiologist between St. John’s and Corner Brook at the time. After 30 years, Bev retired from her roles of clinical and lead audiologist with Central Health; however, she was not ready to give up her love of audiology and the joy of helping people. Bev is thrilled to continue to use her wealth of knowledge to provide hearing, tinnitus and audiological counselling services to the people of Central Newfoundland in the Maico Hearing Service clinic in Gander.
Bev has a lifelong love of fitness and when she’s not in the clinic, you’ll find her in a gym, running, cycling, snowshoeing or skating. She’s also a proud nanny to Georgia, Eva and Oliver and whether they are baking cookies, playing ball or playing with Barbies, she treasures every second with them.
