We are truly a family at Maico. We support each other’s goals, celebrate successes and have built strong connections, even across the province. We genuinely care for each other and enjoy being together. A work culture like this is hard to find but so valued when you have it!

In all my 25 years working as an Audiologist, I have to say that this has been my most comfortable job/position that I’ve ever been in. It’s just such a good, rewarding feeling working with a team that’s all about patient happiness.

On a personal level, the support and understanding from management and everyone else on our team with regards to mental health support in the workplace has been unparalleled with any other experience I have had in a working relationship. I feel supported, heard, and cared for by everyone. The team atmosphere is amazing; even though we are spread across the island, I always know my team is just a phone call away! I have been afforded opportunities to grow both professionally and personally throughout my career with Maico and look forward to seeing what the future holds for me here!

A few years ago, I made the decision to switch careers. Maico welcomed me with open arms. I felt very guided, supported, and loved. Maico is one of a kind. It’s a family-run business, and with that, you get the sense of comradery. You feel very welcomed and taken care of. It was a really good fit for me and my family. I have small children and Maico has been wonderful in allowing me to have a successful career and still keep that time for my family, and make accommodations or be flexible when my family needed it.

I fell into my position at Maico when the full-time position I filled-in for became available. During my ‘filling-in’ period, I fell in love with my job and was ecstatic when I was offered the position. It is a truly amazing company to work for and my co-workers, though many of them are spread out across the province, are always in touch with each other. I can truly say, I love my job.

We have such an incredible, large team at Maico. Everyone comes with their own skillset and experience, and it doesn’t matter which clinic you come from or which clinic you’re calling, everyone is willing to share and support each other.
