On May 30th, Maico Hearing Service hosted an open house for Marystown and surrounding communities to celebrate our new clinic location.
Our grand opening event embodied our team’s dedication to fostering accessible hearing healthcare within the community. This event wasn’t just about opening a new location; it was a celebration of community, support, and future possibilities for the residents of Marystown and the rest of the Burin Peninsula.
A Remarkable Turnout
We had a great turnout, which included people just starting their hearing health journey as well as current patients who have been part of the Maico family for years.
We were so glad to see so many familiar and fresh faces at our grand opening. Having so many people present was such a gift!
Embracing Hearing Health for All
We believe in the importance of hearing health, not just hearing aids. Attendees at our grand opening were offered complimentary hearing aid cleanings and checks, whether they had obtained their hearing aids from Maico or elsewhere.
Every guest deserved to feel valued, regardless of prior history with our services, and we want to ensure that new and previous patients know they can rely on our commitment to the Marystown community’s overall well-being.

The event was wonderfully inclusive, with activities designed to entertain guests of all ages.
Michelle’s triplets and Karla’s daughter, Ella, added a lively presence at the dedicated colouring station set up in the fitting room.
Beyond the services and activities, the grand opening was an opportunity to build and strengthen connections within the community.
Guests enjoyed delicious cake and a variety of snacks while engaging in meaningful conversations with clinic staff and fellow attendees.

We are happy to welcome back Michelle Miller to the Maico team as full-time Audiologist at the new Marystown clinic! Many of you may already know her from her time at our other clinic locations.
